Double Seated Control Valves feature a top and bottom-guided design with two plugs and two seats, balancing the force applied by line pressure—one plug is pushed upward while the other is pushed downward. This design makes them suitable for high-pressure applications, as they can handle greater pressures without requiring tight shut-off, which is more challenging to achieve compared to single-seated valves. Double-seated valves offer fast flow response and higher capacity, making them ideal for applications where tight shut-off is not essential. They are also capable of diverting flow from a single line to multiple outlets, although both ports cannot be opened simultaneously.
